San Fransisco City Hall is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1915 after the original was destroyed in an earth quake. The building is a Beaux-Arts monument and part of the City Beautiful movement inspired by a philosophy believing architectural beautification could inspire a peaceful social order that would increase the quality of life. A bit mellow dramatic? Maybe? Romantic? Um YES. I mean… I have to admit I was completely in awe walking through there scouting where to photography Animesh and Kriti for their elopement that day.
When Kriti showed up in a gorgeous custom made Lehenga from India, a bottle of champagne and a Farmgirl Flowers bouquet I knew I was in for a treat. These two were class all the way and harmoniously blended in with the magic of the place. I couldn’t wait to capture their nuptials!
After their ceremony, we covered every square inch of the building, every lovely floor, every staircase. They cried, danced, laughed, and got married. It was beautiful and perfect in every way. We finished the evening off with some moody sunset portraits at Lands End National Park and sealed the deal with a champagne toast. I can’t wait to capture their wedding reception at the Museum of Flight in Seattle 2021! What a journey!
